Potential Cast
Connor Cassidy - Trainer 1
Katie Stepansky - Fighter 1
G-Eyez - Trainer 2
Mary Pursell - Fighter 2
Concept Overview:
This music video follows two fighters — Katie and Mary — as they prepare to face each other in a high-stakes professional boxing match. Katie is trained by Connor, and Mary by G-Eyez. Both fighters train out of the same gym, where tensions run high and personal history is deep & personal. The nature of their past — and what caused the bad blood — is left for the audience to interpret.
The story unfolds through raw, high-intensity training sequences, intercut with performance shots of Connor and G-Eyez performing the song inside a dramatically lit boxing ring. The video builds toward the climactic moment when Katie and Mary step into the ring to fight — but ends just before the first punch is thrown.
Visual Approach:
- Training scenes: Mitt work, weights, cardio, HIIT, and sparring — raw, sweat-drenched, and cinematic.
- Outdoor shots: Road work and sprints — fighters sprinting to keep up with their trainer in the car alongside them - isolated frames of the fighters running through the streets or along water.
- Performance scenes: Connor and G-Eyez performing in a dark, lighting-controlled boxing ring with ghost trail lens effects, close-up skin textures, and high-contrast lighting for a visceral, emotional tone. Additional performance sequences in locker-rooms and a dark alleyway.
- B-roll: Overhead drone shots of the Boston skyline, gym exteriors, and transitional nature shots for scale and atmosphere.
Themes:
At its core, this is a post-breakup anthem — about resilience, transformation, and inner strength after betrayal. Both fighters embody the emotional aftermath of losing someone who once meant everything. They’ve turned pain into power. The energy is fierce, redemptive, and personal — two warriors rebuilding themselves to be unbreakable.
Connor and G-Eyez serve as mentors and allies, representing loyalty, discipline, and the unspoken bond that drives champions forward.
